Where are the settings?

Tap Bane's avatar to open Grown-up corner. You can change sound effects, adventure music, playful animations, and pinyin helpers. “Read the guide” explains lessons, tones, privacy, and credits.

Do we need an account or internet?

No app account is needed. Lessons, artwork, and pronunciation examples are included with the app. Buying or restoring the optional unlock uses Apple's services and may need an internet connection.

How do I restore our unlock?

Open Grown-up corner, choose “Restore purchases,” and complete the grown-up question. Use the Apple Account that owns the purchase. Restoring purchases restores access to worlds; it does not transfer lesson progress between devices.

Can we practice without the microphone?

Yes. Listen to the example, say the word out loud, and choose “I practiced out loud.” To record and hear yourself, allow microphone access when prompted. You can manage that permission in your device's Settings.

Where did our recording go?

Recordings are temporary. They are discarded when you leave the activity, record again, or put the app in the background. This is intentional; recordings are not uploaded or saved to a voice library.

Can we start over?

Grown-up corner includes “Reset this device's learning progress,” protected by a question and a confirmation. It clears progress, stars, and badges on that device, keeps preferences, and does not remove purchase ownership.
